Minor Spoilers Possible

Spoilers & Progress

Public pages may mention some setting truths, names, identities, or relationships in normal prose when hiding them would make entries harder to read.

How spoilers work

Major progression-sensitive reveals stay inside spoiler blocks.

Those spoiler blocks can auto-open when you mark the matching mission, expedition, or extras entry as complete.

Use Manage Progress to set your reader state, or Clear Progress to stop future automatic reveals.

Summary

The Rift Stalkers were renegade Volanen who pushed past Ayoshen's warnings, pursued forbidden gate study, and opened paths best left closed. *1

Culture

The Rift Stalkers emerged from Volanen ambition and curiosity rather than from an outside invasion. They were a renegade splinter within Volanen society rather than a dominant public institution, and their identity was defined by defiance of inherited caution surrounding gates and the dangers beyond them. *1

Origins

The Rift Stalkers originated on Volan among people taught by Ayoshen and warned by the Keor'drin about what lay beyond the gates. *1

Relations

The Rift Stalkers are directly tied to Ayoshen, who shared gate knowledge with the Volanen in trust. Later practitioners following their methods strip the Field Manipulator's safeguards and remake it into the Coherence Tuner. Their transgressions stand as one internal strand in Volan's later catastrophes rather than a separate unrelated disaster, and the whole tradition remains closely linked to Keor and forbidden gate study. *1
