Summary

The Drunken Masters are an ancient Volanen martial tradition whose practitioners used erratic movement and deceptive posture to lure enemies into overconfidence before defeating them with graceful precision. *1

Culture

Their fighting style was built around misdirection, perplexing opponents rather than meeting them with obvious force. It is remembered as one of the more distinctive martial arts to arise from old Volanen culture. *1

Origins

The Drunken Masters are an ancient Volanen discipline rooted in pre-exile Volan. What survives is the memory of an old lineage and artifact tradition rather than of a clearly documented school in the Orbos exile era. *1

Relations

The tradition is linked to the Volanen through inherited fighting methods and artifacts, especially the Bottomless Bottle, an ancient object passed down from the Volanen of old. The bottle's true nature remains uncertain, but within the tradition it serves as both a confounding ritual object and a practical fighting tool. The Drunken Masters show that old Volan preserved not just keor lore and exile memory, but highly stylized schools of combat philosophy as well. *1 *2
