Thaescylla is remembered as a lush, habitable world among the many life-bearing bodies of the Thespara system. It served as one of the earliest Luminari footholds in that system, reinforcing that Thespara itself is only one inhabited center in a much broader region full of dwarf planets and older base sites. *1 *2

Thaescylla was the first major Luminari base in the system and the site where they created the Slinks from Lypran stock before relocating them to Thespara. *1 *3

It was also the first world reached from the gate into the system, so hospitable that the Luminari initially believed they had found another Orbos. *1
