Minor Spoilers Possible

Spoilers & Progress

Public pages may mention some setting truths, names, identities, or relationships in normal prose when hiding them would make entries harder to read.

How spoilers work

Major progression-sensitive reveals stay inside spoiler blocks.

Those spoiler blocks can auto-open when you mark the matching mission, expedition, or extras entry as complete.

Use Manage Progress to set your reader state, or Clear Progress to stop future automatic reveals.

Summary

Ayoshen is the original Keor'drin associated with Volan, remembered by the Volanen as the dragon who opened a gate above their world, taught them to manipulate keor, and left behind visions, charms, and facilities tied to that legacy. *1 *2

Ayoshen is remembered as a great dragon who guided the Volanen while recovering from the strain of opening gates. His teaching went well beyond simple survival: he honored gifted adepts with the title of Chronomancers, fashioned pendants that serve as vessels for Keor, and left behind monasteries, harnesser technology, and preserved facilities that still shape Volan's story. Even after his death, fragments of Ayoshen endure through visions, charms, and engineered relics prepared to aid those who would one day free Volan. *1 *3 *2 *4 *5 *6

Relations

Ayoshen is inseparable from Volan and from the research centers built there under his guidance. By trusting the Volanen with knowledge that older powers kept secret, he opened the way for their growth but also for later abuses by splinter groups such as the Rift Stalkers. He is still revered by Erlayan and the wider people as their original dragon. *1 *7 *2

His great opposing figure is Shaylang, and the gate Ayoshen opened above Volan ultimately exposed the world to the corruption that followed. At the same time, visions of Ayoshen among other Keor'drin and memories of his final stand suggest a wider gate-linked network beyond Volan, along with a last effort to buy time for the exodus. *8 *2 *5 *4 *9 *10 *11

Ayoshen explains that he hid a fragment of himself from Shaylang and still uses it to open the final path toward the dragon. *12
